LEAD VOCALIST SEARCH
WE’RE LOOKING FOR OUR VOICE.
Daughters of Ruin is moving from a studio project into a live band, and we’re searching for the right lead vocalist to help bring these songs to the stage.
We’re looking for more than someone who can hit the notes. We need a vocalist who can carry the emotion behind the music — the anger, vulnerability, grief, resilience, and power that define Daughters of Ruin.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
A strong candidate should bring:
- A powerful, expressive rock voice with both grit and melodic range
- The ability to move between intimate, vulnerable passages and explosive choruses
- Confidence performing modern hard rock / alternative metal
- Strong timing, pitch, and vocal control
- The ability to interpret lyrics emotionally rather than simply sing them
- Reliability, preparation, and a collaborative attitude
- Comfort working within a survivor-centered, trauma-informed project
- A genuine connection to the meaning behind the music
We are not looking for someone to imitate another singer. We are looking for the person who can become the voice of Daughters of Ruin.
THE PROJECT
Daughters of Ruin creates hard rock forged from survival, resilience, and lived experience.
The songs deal openly with abuse, grief, anger, identity, recovery, strength, and the decision to keep moving forward when life gives you every reason not to.
This is heavy music with an emotional core.
Hard rock with heart.
LOCATION
Daughters of Ruin is based in Maine.
Rehearsals, recording, auditions, and the live-band build will primarily take place in Maine. Candidates should be able to participate reliably in rehearsals and performances as the band develops.
